For me, I carry a pouch full of ball bearing that get "dropped"

Not sure if the guy was doing this intentionally, but as he passed on my left (4 lane highway; 2 each direction) he was riding a little in my lane. I had to roll off the throttle to make sure of no problems. he moved immediatlely into the right lane and slow very fast. I down shifted and passed on the left.
After I was by, I shifted up and put some distance between us.

Had one in South Africa that tops the list - on vacation in Cape Town, post 9-11, Rented a couple Harley's and my Bro and I headed out of town. On the highway, a carload of fanatical Muslims pulls alongside and points a gun. Apparently they didn't like our American flags that we stuck on the American bikes.
Anyway, not knowing what else to do, we flipped them the bird and pulled off the highway to see what they wanted. We thought it would be better to get shot standing up than riding down the highway (flashback to Fonda in Easy Rider)
They didn't stop.
Stupid move? Probably.

Not really.
The random tailgater I get usually backs off if I tap the brakes. They would have to be next to me to force me onto the shoulder. It can't happen, because I don't share my lane.

Hey, I've had car drivers give me a hard time when driving the farm tractor, big rigs intentionally pull out in front of me and so on, so while your solution is certainly admirable, you're not exclusive. Just keep an eye out for them.

bikinikawboy , you say when you drive the farm tractor people mess with you? big rigs pull out in front of you? well anyone who can see a farm tractor coming down the road does not want to be behind it. they have places to be and you certainly are in not as big of a hurry as everyone else I mean cmon? if your driving it down the road who wants to go 15 mph ? even a big truck will go thru the gears faster than you.

thats why u have a fast bike and cages are usually much slower...
just open up the throtle and loose him/her in traffic.
