There was a really bad rainstorm yesterday and I forgot that I had left my window down. My seat is still totally drenched. I tried to soak it up with towels, blow it with a leaf blower and use a wet/dry vac all to no avail. I was hoping it would evaporate but so far no luck. I'm sure it eventually will but I am sick of driving around sitting on a trash bag so my clothes don't get wet. I have to drive a lot so this is quite annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
And before anyone says anything about it, I am not leaving my window down ever again!!

Go to a self car-wash place use the super-vac, vac out the water. my may want to do this 2 or 3 times to do a good job.
make sure you leave your windows open a little though out the day to finish the job. If you don't, the humidity can cause mold and mildew. park in a nice sunny spot.

Trick we use to use in our detail dept---Try running the car with the a/c on for a while in recirculate mode---should remove the moisture as it condenses from the seat cushion but it may take a while. Best to blot out as much as you can on the top of the seat and reach up underneath it as well. Throw some towels on the seat while driving and change when wet. Air circulation is the only way short of removing the seat.

Have you tried a blowdryer? Anyways i guess youre going to have to still drive around with a towel in your seat, it soaks up the water and [usually] keeps you dry, and this may be more comfortable than a trash bag :)

once you vacume all the moisture out you need to leave windows all the way open in the sun or it will turn sour, mildew etc and stink. so air it out really good in the sun.
