What is the optimum spacing between catamaran hulls and how do you determine this?If the spacing is decreased from this distance then what is the effect on the amount of power required to drive the hull? Also, if the spacing is at optimum could I use a bow thruster effectively? Thankyou.

There is no hard and fast rule. The beam/loa ratio varies depending on the type of cat. Some cats have a beam intended to allow them to fit into a standard slip. Designing catamarans is something best left to people who know what they are doing.
