Why dies Ford build junk,?

Is it because of the workers, or is it because on the salary people that are paid to get the product out?

Why does chevy build junk? Why does dodge build junk? Face it, every manufacturer out there builds some junk.

You can not make iron out of plastic.! If the designers and engineers design the vehicle with plastic instead of iron to save money, then how can you blame the production line workers if the vehicle doesn't hold up?
The assembly line workers can only assemble the cars and trucks with the parts they are supplied. They don't order the parts or have anything to do with said part's specifications.!

And that does not make any difference whether the vehicle is a Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota, Nissan or whatever.

I own both Chevy's (trucks) and Fords (trucks). I've found I have a lot less trouble out of the Fords than Chevy's. Fords built heavier and better able to take pounding of the type of driving we do. Which is in the woods on oil field roads, if you can call them roads at all. More like Battle Tank obstacle courses.

Usually Ford doesn't build junk.. Most of their problems is from cheaply made outsourced parts and some bad engineering from outside the US (that's why the Contour was junk for.. it's a european car that couldn't handle americans)

Ford does have some bad labor sometimes.. but every manufacturer has that.... same as engineering... But most things I usually have problems with are outsourced parts Hecto in Mexico..or made in China... Build it real cheap to sell to the americans.. then Ford has to have massive recalls because supplier won't back up their part...

I have to agree Ford doesnt build junk.I think they are just as good as Japanese cars.Have you looked at a Fusion or Edge or even the 2008 Focus,they are well built cars.People now just think bad about american cars because they did use to build junk cars in the 80's but i think they have worked to fix it and thats why i think they will be on top again.Although they have a had a few bad apples Ford Contour,Ford Escort 3rd Gen,and Windstar but the rest are great cars.So get your facts straight.

I tell you what you cannot hold a candle to those men and women who worked on the line building these cars I worked on the Assembly line for 20 years I tell you now 2 out of 10 Americans could have worked on the trim, chassis line before you go and talk about a union worker bud you better get your facts straight, hope this helped you in your misery

Open your eyes and come down into the real world.

Ford motor Company has just added 5 cars to the J.D. Powers tops list while Toyota and Honda lost ground. By the way, the New 2008 BMW 5 series received the worst side crash rating of all while Ford has most cars having the best.

I have driven Ford products exclusively for 20 years and have not yet had one fail me! The domestic cars are just as good as the foreign competition and you want to talk about junk check out suzuki,kia or now defunct daewoo

every car company builds junk every now and then . matter of fact Ford quality is on par with Toyota maybe even better. ford has come up a long way from where it was and. if you look at the best selling vehicles in the US ford is NO.1 check your facts before you come on here and run your mouth

Sure.....stir the pot....like all of us Ford guys and girls have NEVER seen a Chevy guy in the ford section talking SH!T..For your info Einstien..the 07 Mustang was once again listed by JDpowers as the BEST sports car mid sized in initial quality....wow, thats right the Camero didnt quite measure up...

Like its been said, you should try to educate your self past the level of 1st grade before asking a question that is completely false. Are you like Adam Sandler in "The Waterboy"? My mommy told me Ford builds junk. Well according to every publication of auto reliability, Ford is the most reliable american car manufacturer and ahead of nissian as well. They are also ahead of BMW and Mercedes in overall reliabillity. www.consumerreports.org
