My battery died today on my 98 subaru outback, so i took it to wal mart and had the battery changed. When I got into the car I saw that the flashers would not go off even though the flasher switch was in the off position. What happened and what can I do? I have since disconnected the battery. Thanks

About a month ago, my 1996 Chevy Blazer was running hot. I put stop leak in it and it worked fine. Today, after having my a/c repaired, it began running hot again. I plan to flush the radiator and use more stop leak. I just parked it after driving for about 40 minutes and it was running hot. How long should I wait for it to cool off?

ok, i have a 1995 windstar, now i just had to replace all the of the rear brake lines on it. it has a ABS unit which was disconnected a few years ago due to a few problems with it. but i cant bleed the ABS unit because in order to bleed the brakes, i have been told that i need to run the ABS unit through its cycles. the few garages i know dont have the equipement to do this, and if i bring it to a ford dealer, they are going to charge me a arm and a leg. does anyone know how i could completly bleed the brakes without having to bring it to a dealer?

I was involved in a 3 car collision. I was hit in the rear and due to the impact, I hit the vehicle in front of me. Police report also states that I was not at fault. I have a $2000 dedeuctible. Should I approach my own insurance company to pay for the repairs or should I approach the vehicle who is at fault to pay for it? What are the pros and cons? Will my insurance premium increase if I go through my own insurance company.?

My son went to a Texaco station today and filled his gas tank. He said it sputtered a little when he started the car up. He drove it to the mall. Apparently on his way home the car began to give him major problems and eventually sputtered and stalled. He can run the engine but can not drive it. Could the gas he put in his car have water in it? He had no problems with the car before this.

How much should it cost for me to get my front brakes done, and possibly my rotors replaced?

I'm going to be taking them into a mechanic I've never been to before... could someone tell me the relative price I should expect? I don't want to be ripped off (again). =\

Thanks!

I have this issue for 5 years. HondaCivic 93 144k. The AC is cold when weather is cool, but blows hot air when weather is hot. Recently I brought it to a mechanic. After inspection, he said there was no leakage, the compressor works fine. He replaced the expansion valve for $250 and refilled the freon. He used a temperature measure device to show me that the air blowing out of the expansion is 33Fdegree. So I thought he fixed the problem. It's been 3 weeks; I still experience a similar issue. When I use my car around 10am to go to work, the AC is freezing cold. The AC would continue to be cold forever if I don't turn it off. When I go uphill, the AC stops blowing cold air until I get over the hill. My job is in a hot valley, the car parked outside, air in the car get up to 200F. At lunch (2 hours later), the AC can still get cold. When I drive home at 6pm, the AC blows extremely hot air. The trip takes 30'; the AC seems to never stop blowing hot air. At 8pm, it can get cold again

I can't even get cops to give me consistent answers. One says "The Pedestrian ALWAYS has the Right of Way", another says if the pedestrian was in violation of a "Don't Walk" signal, the the pedestrian was wrong, but if there had been a collision, then BOTH parties are in the wrong, another says if the pedestrian was jaywalking then it'd the pedestrian's fault if he/she gets hit - Is this a completely subjective question?

My camaro was sort of bastardized. It has a sunroof (ugh), the interior is gone (as it should be, with a 40 year old car), there is the typical rust in the common areas (rear quarters, under the windshields front and back, trunk, etc), and the floor was cut to fit a 4 speed shifter and the hole is gaping.

Anyone have any advice as far as what steps to take first? I am a weekend mechanic and thusly do not have have all the tools I wish I had. I plan to get a welder and do some of the bodywork myself.
