About a month ago, my 1996 Chevy Blazer was running hot. I put stop leak in it and it worked fine. Today, after having my a/c repaired, it began running hot again. I plan to flush the radiator and use more stop leak. I just parked it after driving for about 40 minutes and it was running hot. How long should I wait for it to cool off?

wait until the radiator feels cool about an hour ...but unless there is a leak stop leak will not keep it from getting hot

that stop leak could be plugging up your radiator causing it to run hot, I would take the radiator out and replace it or find a radiator shop and have the radiator rodded out and checked for leaks and cleaned.

Just feel the radiator, verrry carefully. The more sealer you put in, the more you're clogging the radiator and heater core. I would have it boiled out instead to get rid of the rust, and use a strong coolant mix. It could be just a lot of rust clogging the system. Bob H

have someone blow the outside of radiator out with compressed air. you would be surprised at what a difference that will make as far as running cooler.this time of year we get alot of trks coming in running hot and 99% of the time we blow the radiators out first and that cures it.you would be surprised at all the bugs that accumalate over the years.
