How do I install a ford brown orifice tube in a 1992 Chevy (chevrolet) Cavalier? It looks visually different from the one that I removed, specifically the little plastic stops on the tube are different, how do I keep it stationary in the line once installed? otherwise they look very similar, and of the same diameter. I have heard about people using different diameter tubes from different OE manufacturers so I know it can be done.

Please don't ask me why I want to do this, I only need to know how. and please don't insult me for it either...I just want some info. thank you

Has anyone noticed any cars with a novelty add on that looks like a pair of bull nuts hanging under the rear of the vehicle?
I only saw one once and I thought it was a hoot. They must be weighted because they swing back and forth like the real thing. I was wondering how common this was.

I've got a 2001 V-6, Flex Fuel Ford Taurus. It calls for 5W-20 oil. On my last oil changed, I switched to 10W-30 (it's cheaper). Now, I have an oil leak near the front of the engine. It's dripping on to the exhaust and smoking. Could the switch to 10W-30 have caused the leak?

I drive an Xterra and get about 16 MPG, but while I was on a road trip through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota, I noticed my MPG was (were?) up to about 20. This could be because I was doing more long distance driving, but I spent a portion of my time driving in town or just short distances once I got to South Dakota. Also, on the long distance part, I was actually driving a lot faster than I normally do, like 85-90 mph, and I had more weight in the vehice due to bringing clothes/food/supplies for the trip.

My ex seems to think the better MPG was because I was at a higher elevation (I live in CA) while on vacation and that affects fuel economy. My dad thinks it's because they don't mix ethanol into their fuel in those states like they do here in CA.

Ideas as to why my MPG went up so much?!

I just got my permit a couple weeks ago and I had my first required lesson with a driving teacher. He told me to, after making a turn, let go of the wheel so that the vehicle can automatically straighten itself out. My initial instincts were that this was totally crap, because letting go of the wheel with both hands, ever, means loss of control with the vehicle, which is bad for numerous reasons. And a week or so later, while driving with my dad, after I completed a turn and took my hands off the wheel to, as my instructed told me, let the car could straighten out, my dad said to never ever do that. And he basically told me that my initial instincts were true. So, who should I listen to, the instructor who has taught countless kids this or my dad who has taken defensive driving courses where the men there told him that taking your hands off the wheel is a serious mistake. So. take both hands off the wheel sometimes, or never?

i have a 98 civic 4dr and i have 17's and i would like to lower it but i have no clue on suspension systems. i would be using the car for daily driving. i would like coil overs cause u could adjust the height. i plan to lower the front like .5" to 1" and the back like .3" , the back would have to be stiff cause whenever i carry ppl in the back the wheel well would rub the side of the tires. thanks

I just bought a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee and all the lug nuts are different sizes. I have to use 4 different sockets to get them all off. So I'm trying to get 20 new lug nuts that match so the car will look better and so it will make life easier for anyone who changes a tire. When I ask most of the auto parts stores near me don't have any, and the ones that do only have a few. I have a hard time beleiving that these should be so hard to come by! Are lugs nuts really completely different sizes for every car because this really seems ridiculous! Help me out here if you know about this.

Its a slow drip. I just bought the car from someone, it had very little gas in it then. I filled it up Sunday bringing it home. We noticed the leak yesterday (Monday). The entire underside of the car is very rusty, I knew that before I bought it. Could it actually need a new fuel tank or is there a more likely cause?
Also - how much would it cost to get it fixed?
It is a 99 jeep grand cherokee.

I was born in June, and I'm 17. I'lll take written test in couple days and I'm positive that I'll pass the test and get permit. However, some of my friends told me that because I'm under 18, so I have to hold my permit for six months before taking driving test.

Is that true ???? Even if I took a driving class in AA driving school ??

Is that true, and is there any way that I can take driving test sooner ???

Please help me !!!

So my friend kept bugging me to let him drive my 2007 civic coupe and ends up crashing it into a curb while making a left turn into a neighborhood and at the same time, a van made a left turn into the street, ignoring the stop sign. He tried avoiding the car and then slams hard into the curb. I need an alignment and I'm not too sure about the back of the tire but there's a chance the frame might have been damaged. He came from a foreign country months ago and is in a homestay and says the government can kick him out for an accident and for me to take the blame.
How will insurance work out? Will my rates go up? I payed around 20k total for the car, so is a total possible? But, I think the best option is just for him to pay me after an estimate? What should I do?

She had her license taken away because she is 93 y.o.a.
Does that mean she still has insurance on the vehicle?

Also, I do have a license, and am ONLY INSURED for MY car not hers. Should I be concerned if a cop pulled me over?

Would it go on my name for the driving record, and would my insurance go up?
