Take your Avenger into the Dealer if it requires anti-freeze could be an issue with your car. This will be covered under your 3/36,000 bumper to bumper warranty.
The pink/orange color anti-freeze is a longer life anti-freeze it does not require changing approx. 100,000 miles depending on the condition (color & cleaness)
The green anti-freeze is not the longer life and should be changed out around 30-50,000 miles depending on the condition (color & cleaness)
I would not recommend mixing Green with your Pink/orange anti-freeze as it will be incompatible with conventional formulations. The organic acids in pink/orange types will cause separation of silicates in the green type, which greatly reduces corrosion protection.
If you mix the two types of coolant, nothing terrible is going to happen -- nothing is going to blow up or melt -- but a mixture of the two types of coolants won't have as much rust protection as either one individually.

If you have a 2008 Dodge Avenger and it needs antifreeze take back to the dealer!! Antifreeze is one of those things that is covered under you bumper to bumper warranty. It shouldn’t need antifreeze or even the antifreeze changed for the first 5 years’50,000 miles.

You should look in your owners manual but Prestone® Extended Life Antifreeze/Coolant will work with any color coolant.

Yeah, listen to magnum_srt8er, you do not mix colors of antifreeze, as they are incompatible. Don't listen to the others to say green will work.

Color makes no difference, just make sure it's a mix of 50% water 50% antifreeze. Some come premixed, and some you have to mix yourself. Some are environmentally friendly, won't kill your cat or dog. Most will do the job well.
