I had a 1986 Taurus, which I loved. Had very few problems with it. I now have a 2002 Taurus, and love it also. The '86 sat in our garage for about 4 years..my husband took the dash apart and never put it back together. I traded it for yard work, but the kid who got it is having trouble getting it going again..I think he put the speedometer back in wrong, now they say it has a main computer problem. I still like the car and would buy another.

We had a '97 Taurus, drove it for 5 years and did nothing but change the oil. Very nice car for the money and it was built in Chicago!
The Sable is the same car with different options/trim

I had a 98 Sable LS with the 3.0L 200h.p. motor. Overall it was a good car. Roomy, comfortable, not a squeak or a rattle. It was purchased by my parents new in late 97...had about 24K on it when I got it. As a 2nd car, it wasn't so hot. It would kill a battery after about ten days of no driving. But if I drove it everyday, it was just fine. Dealer blamed problem on electrics the car was saddled with. (From the factory)

I have a 1997 Taurus that my wife drives everyday, I keep up the maintenance on it and it has 68000 miles , If you know how to take care of it it will last a long time , It like any other car on the road parts will wear out and need replacing , But my wife loves that car hope this helps.

confident yet confirm you ask interior the the main suitable option type and ensure you do no longer use words or language that iis too convey and offensive to young little ones. An older man or woman will probable be waiting to narrate in case you p.c.. the wording heavily.

Theyre pretty terrible cars. Unreliable, slow, boring, ugly, not very good on gas, terrible resale value, etc etc.
