The charge for a medical to obtain a PCV or LGV licence is down to the practitioner. Some will carry out the medical for free, others will make a nominal charge - up to say, £40 or £50.

Excecting to charge £150 is a joke...

Same as for HGV (LGV now). Although a Doctor can charge what he likes, £50-£60 would be reasonable from your own GP.
It's nothing to do with DVLA, and if you don't have the medical, you simply don't get the Licence. If you look at it over the 5 yr duration of licence, it's not bad value.

It is a bit on the high side, I would expect to pay about £100. Pop into another surgery and ask the receptionist what the cost for PCV medical is.

Seems a bit steep. I would suggest you get another doctor in the surgery to fill it in for you.
