On a recent trip for an oil change a mechanic suggested that the squeaking was a result of maladjusted belts (2), further noting that a adjustment is ~ $ 50.00 per belt. Does this sound accurate? The car ~ 130,000 miles and since I have had it (~ 94,000 miles) I have never had these adjusted. The squeaking has gotten progressively worse or the last few weeks, I want to keep this ride as long as possible but would like to avoid being taken for a ride! Any help is greatly appreciated.

I need to know how to put a completely new system in my car. I have a factory Bose system that is completely dead. The few audio techs that I have talked to, all said I will need to "gut it and install a new one". I need to do an amp bypass on the factory. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to install a whole new system in my car?? I've looked all over the web and audio techs want outrageous amounts of cash... :( Please help!

When I accelerate in my new car, my radio gets extremely loud- especially when I am on the expressway. I know that most cars do this as you go faster, the engine is louder and the radio volume increases a small amount. In my new car the volume change is very noticeable. Is this normal? I know someone with a new G6 who has noticed the same thing.

I got regular fuel at the Valero station and ever since my car has been running really rough. The engine light came on and my car has no pep whatsoever. It feels like my car is jerking and hardly wants to stay running. This has never happened before until I put this fuel into my car. Like I said I never had a problem until I put this gasoline into my car. I must mention my car has low miles and it is only a couple of years old. I will be taking my car into the dealership to get checked out and fixed. Do you think the fuel was bad?

We currently have a mercedes traveliner (9 seats) which is OK and before that a Toyota landcruiser (8 seats), but we need at least another seat! we thought we may just go for a 12 seater as we also use for business, but we cant find anything other than a ford transit? is that really the only new 10/12 seater we can buy?? Thanks in advance

My 05 Dodge Dakota died on my daughter. They could jump start it, but when she put it in gear, it would die. I had a shop tow it in, fearing the worst. My friend just had the computer go out on a dodge truck and it cost 1400.00.
They called me the next day and said it was fixed come pick it up. I asked what it was and was told they put a new battery in it.
They ran diagnostics on it [75.00] and thats what they came up with.
Between the tow, the diagnostics, and the new battery it was 250.00. I could have gotten a battery for 69.00 + core at wal-mart if I had known that was the problem. The dieing when put in gear was what made me call a shop. Older cars , after you started them, you could remove the battery and they would run.
Now all the engine components are controled by the computer.
Will a newer car not run without the battery?

I have a 89 honda accord, 2.0 with a carburetor. it runs perfectly fine now that I replaced the whole fuel system including rebuilt the carburetor. it runs ok when its coool but once it runs for a while it starts to loose power have very lil pick up, and when I'm in some gears it jumps as if it wants to take off or stop. I just replaced the plugs wires and caps and rotor last november and that carburetor should be in so good of shap its practically new. what do you think is wrong, I'm about to chunk it out the window but my parents won't let me.
