I got regular fuel at the Valero station and ever since my car has been running really rough. The engine light came on and my car has no pep whatsoever. It feels like my car is jerking and hardly wants to stay running. This has never happened before until I put this fuel into my car. Like I said I never had a problem until I put this gasoline into my car. I must mention my car has low miles and it is only a couple of years old. I will be taking my car into the dealership to get checked out and fixed. Do you think the fuel was bad?

Could be bad fuel. It happened to me once while on a road trip. The car would just sputter and die when I tried to start it up. I finally got it running and after the next fillup it ran just fine. If your car is still under warrenty, definately take it in. usually when your car sputters and dies, it is going to be a fuel or air problem. Generally air problem is no big deal becasue that system is pretty easy and we don't have to worry about carbeurators anymore. Fuel systems are another story, however. But hopefully it is just bad gas. Good luck.

With water (or whatever else) in the gas, replace fuel filters after this tank.

I always avoid filling up if there is a tanker at the station, refilling the station. When they fill up the tanks, the new fuel will stir up anything sitting in the bottom of the gas stations tanks, mixing it into the gas you will put into your car.

Very possibly. We had a case here in the UK this year where 100's of filling stations were affected with contaminated fuel - lots of peoples cars were damaged.
