When I accelerate in my new car, my radio gets extremely loud- especially when I am on the expressway. I know that most cars do this as you go faster, the engine is louder and the radio volume increases a small amount. In my new car the volume change is very noticeable. Is this normal? I know someone with a new G6 who has noticed the same thing.

I haven't looked specifically at the newest GM's, but on most older vehicles the "speed controlled volume" settings could be adjusted. Earlier head units had a switch labeled "SCV" and you could turn it up or down. If there's no obvious switch, check your owner's manual; there's probably a way to adjust it.

I have a 2005 and mine did the same thing. You might be able to adjust the intensity of the radio's compensation. I forget. I just turned the feature off in my car.
