I did once when i was splitting lanes and an a car started to crowd the lane and i hit his mirror i was gonna stop but when i slowed down i was already like 10 cars ahead of him and since i thought it was his fault i said f it and i just kept on going, i was just wondering if others have done this? oh and there was no way he could have gotten my plates cause i passed him before he could have and ther was traffic on the freeway.

Preferably around the NW part of Chicago [around the brickyard area to be more specific]...accidently made a sharp turn out of my garage and scrape it. The damage is not bad nor does it look too deep, it is white and unfortunately does not rub off...but I rather just buff it out then screw up myself...I wouldnt mind if the car was older but its relatively new (roughly 14months old)

I have a spark plug cross threaded. I know the plug has 1.25 treads per mm, must convert to inches to get a drill bit, tap.and helicoil to ream this puppy a new hole!!!

I do it myself and save alot of money. I do almost everything from a tune up to changing brake pads, and even my alternator. The only thing i take into the mecahnic for is if i need to change something like shocks or struts.

Unfortunately, biking (especially sport bikes) is dominated by guys. Has anybody read stats in a magazine or somethere telling what percentage of riders are females? Ones that have their own bikes? got a 98 audi a6 auto tranny with triptonic shifting. the whole car jerked wen i slammed it into drive (i know im an idiot). the car shut off. i pulled over put it into park, started it back up now it wont show wat gear im in on the dash and if i try to push the gas it feels like your starting off in 5th gear, the engine revs up but car barely moves. totally shuts off wen i go over 20mph. wat did i break in the tranny?? hydrolic linkage? tourque converter???

How do I pull codes from the check engine light on an '88 Tunderbird 5.0? I read somewhere once that you can pull the codes with a paperclip stuck into two terminals where you plug the computer into the car. But I don't know which two terminals or what the codes would mean. My light just came on, so I wanna try to diagnose it myself without having to go to Advance or whoever does it. Thanks.

I am a completely inexperienced when it comes to motorcycles although I have been talking to alot of people who ride and I have been reading alot on the internet.

The one major issue that everyone disagrees on is the size of a good first bike. I have heard everything from "start as big as you can afford" to "start on the smallest thing that you can fit on". I have had opinions of goods starter bikes range from a 125cc Suzuki to a 1200cc Harley Davidson.

Ideally for a complete beginner what would be the best engine size to start on if all other things are equal? Without thinking about how I fit on the bike what bike is best for a compete beginner?

Of course I will take other things into consideration when buying a motorcycle, I just want to see what people think when it comes to engine size alone.

ok heres the story. 73 Dodge Challenger in resto,318 with a mild cam,this winter I replaced the gas tank,installed new cam,timing chain and lifters. It starts and runs fine. When I go about a mile down the road it just quits. It did this 2 times today and I had to get it jumped then it ran fine for a bit and quit again. Last week I installed a new radio and left the ignition on for about 2 hours. Did I maybe cook the coil or ballast resistor? Is the coil breaking down when hot or could it be the fuel system. It has a new Edelbrock 650 on it and a new matching aluminum intake also. Thanks for any ideas. Im gonna check the ignition system tomorrow.

I have an 88 ford f150 and the manual transmission has gone bad it is a 4x4 and i want to know how to change it to a 2wd truck. Can i just buy a 2wd tranny and drop the transfercase and get a new longer yolk (drive shaft)?
