As far as i understand it it is just Air and oil filter sometimes the spark plugs is this correct? Cheers

i put in the keys in and out 6 times as programming says and am suppose to get flashing hazards.. but nothing happens.. it is for a nissan 200sx s14

my mechanic seems lovely but i just want to check, I took my motor in this morning as the exhaust was obviously blown. he's told me that the down pipe is save-able with a bit of patching but the catcon needs replacing. the catcon is £171 and with a couple of patch repairs he reckons the total should be £270.
does that sound about right? for a car that cost me £450 it seems a bit steep!

Hello,
I finally got home from college a day ago, my car had been parked since then and I hadn't driven it. Since It was only a day, I didn't have insurance on it yet, anyways tonight I finally decided to visit a friend about 7 minutes from my house. I parked my car outside and we were talking in the backyard hanging out.
Next thing I know, a high speed car chase is going on and im right in the middle of it, like 10 cops are chasing this one car, he turns onto our block, goes around, hits my car, destroys the front, he pulls out a gun and start running around the houses and jumping fences!
What a day!
He finally got arrested, his stolen car had insurance, but it was under his girlfriends name. I gave the police my info, and they gave me the Allstate policy claim #.
What can I do now besides calling the company?
Do I have any hopes in getting my car restored?
Will I have to go small claims court?
Any helpful advice?

For a day or so my car had been acting really weird. Whenever I went to hit the gas pedal, my ceiling light and the no seatbelt warning light would come on; then when I would let go of the pedal, they would turn back off. This happened all of yesterday. I knew I needed to get the car checked out, but I had to take my mom to work and just wasn't able to drop it off anywhere. Tonight I went to pick her up and all of a sudden the speedometer goes crazy (meanwhile the previous problem persists) and the car loses all power and shuts down. From there, I couldn't get it started again. The headlights were bright as were the lights in the car, but the radio and windshield wipers didn't work. When I try to start the car it does absolutely nothing except occasionally make a clicking sound. What could the problem be?

we have replaced the computer with a brand new one had the vin flashed etc., had electrical harness checked etc. car still just shuts off. have replaced transmission recently. rechecked by shop to verify that their work didn't cause it. the old computer wouldnt communicate at all.replaced it then it still would not work. mechanics decided to reinstall original transmission control module because we had also replaced it with a used one recently. now computer does communicate but mechanics said to replace the transmission control relay(i believe that is what it was called) replaced that still having problems. any other ideas out there? fyi -- the gas gauge started acting wacky prior to these problems and eventually stopped working. related?

my boyfriend has a nissian pintara 89 model. the battery he had wasnt good then he used a smaller one from a gemini, it ran out and the car wouldnt start so the poor bugger had to walk home, we are going away in a days time with he's car. what is the problem, is it hes alternator and what can we check to see why this is happening?

i had an accitent and need to replace my front bumper, headlights, fenders, and hood. the body shop told me it would cost about $2000 more to use USED OEM parts than aftermarket parts. is it worth it spending the extra money (i have to pay not insurance) to use original parts or are aftermarket parts also just as good?

A friend went and purchased a new car from a major dealership. The car was purchased after 5pm, all papers were signed, and he left. After a couple of days, the dealership called saying that they couldn't get the loan to go through with any lender and they want the car back. Can they legally retake the car after all the contracts were signed? My friend has already taken out full coverage insurance on the car. Any help will be appreciated.
