Use a portable generator, and a 12v converter.
Buy one big enough to power what you MAY buy in the future and save yourself some money in the long run.

Have a battery in the camper to run the lights. Have a splitter that lets the battery be charged from the other one, but doesn't allow the camper battery to drain the car battery when they are parked connected - get it at RV places, Sears used to sell them.
