I really love animals, especially dogs and really want to work with them as a career. I have thought about an animal trainer but I want to explore my options. I don't really want to be a vet because I don't like to see severely hurt animals. Also, what are good things to study for jobs like this?

when a company tells you that your interview is going to be a business casual interview, what type of dress is preferred? i am an experienced engineer and have never worn anything less than a suit to an interview. I feel like a damn fool showing up to interviews overdressed.

I know it's somewhat customary to go to a store in person to see if they have positions available, but what if I don't have a lot of time to look around? Is it ever okay to call around to see if they have positions available? (This is for like grocery store or retail store jobs)

as i am training to be an electrician, i am stuck in a catch 22 situation, there is alot of work but for experienced and qualified people ONLY . Nobody is willing to train me or even give me the opportunity to learn.i have spent alot of time and money on training but still no luck. I have the usual debts etc to pay off and lots of things i wish to do. The opportunities in this country are drying up for the locals and others have a better chance now. i have been unemployed a long time now. i wish to work hard and earn a living, what can i do? alot of agencies register me but have no work. why do agencies register people if they dont have any jobs?and why do employers advertise jobs if they dont have any vacancies? why do people not reply to letters i am sending out to?What the hell is this country comming to if government statistics show that over 45% of households are now living on government handouts? Whose laughing all the way to the bank?

Three things can potential job canadiates so to themselves from being hired is lack of knowledge, appearence, and behaviour.First of all, lack of knowlege can hinder someone becomming employ. For example, my friend Marie apply for a job at walmart in Vaughn and when asked about her interest in the company she couldn;t answer. She were not aware of other departments such as photo studio, optical and automotive.Second is appearance. To illustrate this my friend wore a tight short skirt with open toe sandles without stockings in the middle of winter to her interview.Confident is a quality she negatively has when discusing her wages.she wanted $12 per hr and 1 increase annually. Finally the most important one is behaviour.Marie body language tells that she is easily distracted. When she hear the intercome or a door bang she jumps.shake and look at the door. She became nervous and star talking to much saying things like baby clothes should be no more than $20 and baby diaper should cost $5.

I have found some difficulty in finding a job. I keep hearing that a lot of times, employment agencies advertise jobs that they know don't exist. Is this true? If so, why do they do that?
Also, have you ever been scammed or stiffed by an employment agency? What happened? What should somebody do in a situation like that?

Currently i'm a receptionist @ a doctors office, but I took a job as a medical biller, which is what i went to school for. They are going to pay me $2 less. My boss said that if I stay he will put me in billing here ASAP and give me a raise. I know it seems abvious what to do, but I don't want that to be an empty promise just to get me to stay. I need some advice. HELP!!
