I have an employee who does everything I ask. Always comes to work on time and stays late if I need them. Helps me out when I'm in a bind. This person is a pleasure to be around and is in line for a promotion because of all the things I just described.

For a few months now it has been the suspicion of a few managers (not myself) that this employee had stolen money from other employees. Just recently money went missing in the area that the employee was working in that night and I began to grow suspicious myself. With that said I watched the employee like a hawk for the rest of the night and to my surprise...I caught this person stealing supplies from the storage room. We are talking about something the equivelent of $10, but stole non-the-less.

Now I have to believe what everyone else said...but I don't know exactly how to handle this? Please give me your opinions. Thanks.

I don't really want to smack him, but I would like him to be civil. He's a co-worker who is brusque and rude to nearly everyone at work. Today when I said "Hi" and he just grunted at me again, I asked him why he was behaving like that and he said, "I'm just brusque - that's my way of being" in a snotty tone. I told him that people were afraid to talk to him and he said that if they were afraid that maybe that was because there was something to be afraid of. He also made a nasty remark about older women (I'm in my 50's). He thinks he's going to be a Christian pastor and I can't understand how he's going to accomplish that with this attitude. I wonder if I should mention this to his boss? People practically hugged and kissed me after my discussion with this guy, which was in the middle of the office, because he'd insulted them. Would you let his boss know or would you let it alone?

I read an ad in the local News Paper in the classifies for employment for the U.S. Postal Services. The ad said I could make $20 an hour part time or full time. I called 1-800-584-1859. And they continued to tell me about the employment opportunity and that I needed to pay over $100 for the study material in order to take the Postal Battery Exam. Come to find out it's a big scam and they got my credit card numbers and already charged me. There was a report with the BBB that told me all about it.
A little fact so it doesn't happen to you. Your local post office gives you this study material free of charge and tells you how to set up for your test date!!!
Lucky for me I used Discover Card. They were great and are going after the company for me and refunding me my money. When I called this company called Exam Services they told me directly they have been doing this for years and no they would not return my money. I feel stupid it was the one time I didn't check first with BBB.

am trying to schedule a conference call with an outside vendor, my boss and me. I have never used the phone to do a conference call. I learn the steps from my boss and try it 3 times but can not set it up. So my boss comes over to my desk and sets it up. I was doing somethng wrong. My boss goes back to her phone and as soon as she gets on the line tell the vendor "finally we are on, she is from India, I had to go set it up". I immediately said dont be so insulting. She said I am joking I like Indians. The vendor was speechless, said nothing. We went on with the conference call. After the call, I tell her so I am from India and bring up the topic. She said she was joking. She respects Indian and thinks they are intelligent. You think this kind of comment is joking specially to a vendor. I have another coworker who keeps saying the Indian guy on American Idol can not sing. Indians cant sing. I laugh at that cause I feel it pertains to someone I dont know and also because it can be true

My worst job was at a call center,i had to get people to answer a questionnaire's, and meet a target, but because no one was meeting the target's, they forced us to use a method, of jumping in with the questions as soon as people answered the phone, and not let them ask what are the questions where for. i felt really bad to do that to people, so i quit.
