Teen making money!?

Question

Im 15 turning 16 soon. I need to make about $3000 in a year. This summer I want to work, but I don't want to work a minimal wage job. What else could I do to make the cash. I was thinking about a full-time babysitting job, but in my small town I dont know.

I know it's a little late, but with minimum wage going up to $7.15 per hour in July, it's not too bad, there are alot of people with years into their jobs making less, believe it or not!

Babysitting on top of this could earn you a further income in addition, but you have a point and I don't know the demand for babysitters in your area, and your method of transportation to and from.

There are sites that can make you legitimet money online for reading emails, filling out surveys, correspondence, data entry, so on and so forth, this is actually how I cover the monthly costs of an online store. You just have to dedicate a little time online into sorting through the bogus ones and the ones that pay literally pennies for the whole duration.

I would suggest an online store, but with the involvement, fees and licenses involved, and at your age, I don't know that that's really an option just yet.

Realistically though, as long as you can find something full time at the current wage or slightly above, you can it off within a few months easy, that's of coarse provided you're not paying room and board and, cell bills and whatever other expence to your parents etc. Good luck

at 16 unless you know someone who's willing to help you out (a parents friend, or a friends parents, uncle aunt something like that) you'll be making minimum wage. For a first job worry more about liking it than money.. first jobs usually are horrible. Babysitting will not get you 3k. places that at 16 you CAN make good money are waitressing (i say can because if youre not a good waitress you won't make good money) and something like a walmart. Walmarts in MOST states start pay at 9 or more an hour.

How about selling on Ebay for friends and neighbors? You do the work of posting the items and mailing them out. They povide things they want to sell and they give you a percentage of what you sell it for.

if there's an in-n-out nearby, work there. there minimum salary is $9.50 an hour in every in-n-out. i mean, their food's disgusting, but i'm willing to ignore that for the pay.

$3000 is a lot for a 16 year old. Unless of course your gonna be selling drugs and stripping.
