My worst job was at a call center,i had to get people to answer a questionnaire's, and meet a target, but because no one was meeting the target's, they forced us to use a method, of jumping in with the questions as soon as people answered the phone, and not let them ask what are the questions where for. i felt really bad to do that to people, so i quit.

Mine would be a waitor job at some rich fancy restaurant, just to have some rich snobbish customers and egotistical boss yelled at me. Well, screw all of them, I have earned my M.D right now, I want to show them that not all labor workers are losers. We just work at those places to earn money for college.

In general I've liked every job I've had, including the period in my life when I had 7 jobs in 5 years. Perhaps the worst was in a bank when I was new accounts rep and the manager was a female. Her boyfriend hit on EVERYBODY, but for some reason she took it out on me. I finally had to tell her that there was no way she could make me leave until I was darn good and ready - in those words. A couple months later an opening came up in another department which I really wanted. It wasn't the pay grade I wanted, tho, so I told that manager and she (yes, another woman) made it two grades higher so I would apply for it. When the boss really wants you there, work is SOOOO much more fun. I loved it then.
I have found that you can learn something from every job - and can have fun doing it if you open your mind and decide not to let things get to you.
And, yes, I probably would have done the same thing you did if I were in your shoes. You have integrity. Good for you!

This is almost to embarrassing to admit, but selling KIRBY Vacuum cleaners! These people who run this organization are total freaks!!! It is a F-ing cult! I trained for a week, to sell vacuum cleaners, go figure. Anyway, they try to get you all pumped up every day at this meeting with all there clones. They sing this messed up song, sic humiliating as all hell, its like something from the children's show Barney. Then they pile you into a van with ten other people, and some madman drives you around for 10 hours, cold calling on a bunch of new homeowners. Just talking about this makes me feel uneasy! It was the single most demeaning thing I have ever done in my life!

My worst job was as a receptionist at a sales company. THe people there were extremely money hungry and rude. You couldn't leave your purse at your desk, or else someone may steal your money out of your wallet. It was absolutley terrible. Also maturity of the people working there smoked constantly. The manager smoked in the office! I am not a smoker and it is illegal to smoke in office buildings where I live. I coldn't believe it, I hated it. I quit after five weeks of being miserable.

My worst job was working for a company that sells inkjets and toner called N*ctron. Tons of office politics going on, and the boss shows favoritism to certain people. People working there lie to each other in order to protect themselves. That's not the worst part, the worst part is that you work like a machine and is treated like a machine, no break, no talking. That place is just a hell.

One of my first jobs was at a plant that made the loovers for shutters and it was the worst job in the world. The pay and benefits were even worse. I made a vow to myself that I would never do that type of demeaning work ever again and it wasn't because I think that I am too good. Hard work never hurt anyone and it hasn't hurt me one bit, but the way we were all treat was terrible and back then I was too young to know what they were doing was so illegal. As they say, live and learn!!
