wats it like to work in a cubicle n be sitting down all day on the computer? do people really get mental breakdowns n just lose it?

Yes, it is that boring. When I was going to school, I used to do data entry work part time. I could barely keep from falling asleep. I listened to a lot of music. The time would just drag on and on. Time must have slowed down. Now, I'm an engineer. You know what; it's still boring. I do a few hrs of tough problem solving, then I have to do the mundane task of translating my ideas onto paper (actually I use a PC, but you get the point). Yes, people do lose it. They get pissy w/ one another. It actually happens a lot. I'm not saying people bust out fighting, but tempers get pretty damn high when you are in stressful conditions. Get this; the pay sucks for most people.

I would love a job in a cubicle. Nobody suffers a mental breakdown that I know about. So, it depends on what you want to do with your life.

Depend on the type of work you do, to be considered boring, but one mans trash is another man's treasure.

Sure people lose it. But I've seen people lose it working in a production line. It has nothing to do with the cubicle, just the persons mental state.
