He was at macy's for about a year and now going to duane read he will be getting paid less and worked harder. trust me I know- i worked at duane reade for about 2 years and almost worked at macys but changed my mind. But tell me what you think????

I know this is fast becoming a saturated market in the UK but it is really something I want to do. I would like to operate a small business renovating larger properties and rebuilding them as being more environmentally friendly and economical.

I am knowledgeable of the environmental side of things but have no clue about building work (although I can decorate OK!). Of course I would be willing to learn and get my hands dirty but, for the moment, I would be best suited to the logistical side of the operation.

How can I get in to the trade- would working on a building site for a while give me an edge? How do I approach the banks? Any help would be very gratefully received- thanks!

I'm 17, and last year made the mistake of dropping out of highschool. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, but it's not working out too well. I've been toggling between psychologist, vet tech, random whims that don't last. I have no idea what direction I should head in.

So is there a person that I can pay to answer important questions and possibly sort of point me in the right direction? I need a job that will pay, and devoting a few years to college isn't really all that big of a problem to get something that I feel capable of. Someone that can tell me the job description, requirements, and average pay.

I'm lost, and I need to know who I need to talk to to get my life on track.

My ex-boss claims that he mailed my W-2 several weeks ago. I never received it and although I have moved in the past 8 months, all of my other mail has always been fowarded to me. He says that he hasn't had it sent back to him. He is now telling me that it is my problam and that if I want him to order another one that I will have to pay for it. Is this true? What can I do about this situation? I really need the money and I don't want to give up this easily. Any suggestions?

My wife works as a regional manager for a nationwide distibution company. She's been there for about 10 years, and about 1 year ago there was a company buyout with an American firm taking over. Today they called her in and told her she was loseing her company car, laptop, mobile and all perks.
She now has to work a shift (2-10pm) instead of flexi hours. Can the company just do this? We are not sure about her wages, she thinks she will have to take a huge (at least 8k) pay cut. Is there any way we can prevent this.
Do the american company have the right to take away our accustomed standard of living? We will need to buy another car, hire a childminder, and I will have to change my work pattern. Obviously this will severley disrupt our lifestyle.
Help please from anyone who knows about this stuff. Thanks

I am currently filling in a job aplication form and I'm looking for some catchy lines to use that will hopefully make me appear as if I know what I'm actually talking about.........Not stuff like, I'm a team player, blah, blah, blah, Work off my own initiative, etc, etc, What I am looking for is something a bit more up to date and punchy that will make my application stand out from all the waffle & twaddle that you usually see. Any Ideas?
