I am currently filling in a job aplication form and I'm looking for some catchy lines to use that will hopefully make me appear as if I know what I'm actually talking about.........Not stuff like, I'm a team player, blah, blah, blah, Work off my own initiative, etc, etc, What I am looking for is something a bit more up to date and punchy that will make my application stand out from all the waffle & twaddle that you usually see. Any Ideas?

Tip #1 - do not ever write on the application "See resume", fill out all the areas on the application with information.

Tip #2 - don't lie or exagerate your ability. Don't list that you have skills that you do not have, don't put things on your education that are not true. This is the fastest way to lose a job.

Tip #3 - be brief in your explanations, don't try to make it something else. I had a receptionist apply one time and call herself a "Quality Customer Service Supervisor". Not the same thing.

To impress a prospective employer tell them that you do not ever say "That's not my job" and don't say it!!!!

Make your letter short, sharp and to the point. If there are many applications, it might be looked at for a few seconds.
You ask for catchy lines. That is a cliche. Prospective employers want to know, realistically, what skills/qualifications or experience you have to offer. Simply focus on that using plain language. Also check your spelling and grammar.

Trying to sound too clever will work against you.
Find out what the co does. and a few lines (perhaps dress it up a bit)
along that line will attract their attention. Anything showy they will ignore you(unless ofcourse your exp and qual are good)
Use BOLD whenever it demands

Good luck

One tip that generally gets you noticed is to use cream coloured paper instead of white. That is of course, if you are sending it rather than putting it on line. It's subtle but will stand out from the others.
