My ex-boss claims that he mailed my W-2 several weeks ago. I never received it and although I have moved in the past 8 months, all of my other mail has always been fowarded to me. He says that he hasn't had it sent back to him. He is now telling me that it is my problam and that if I want him to order another one that I will have to pay for it. Is this true? What can I do about this situation? I really need the money and I don't want to give up this easily. Any suggestions?

If I were you I'd contact the IRS and tell them your story and ask them what you should do. Good luck. Your ex-boss sounds like an a$$ !!!!! It is possible you can also use your last pay stub if you have it and it is recorded on it all your yearly earnings and deductions.

If you send a request in writing for a new W-2 to be sent out, your boss will have to do it. I have many college students that work for me and they move a lot and do not think about past jobs. Check out the irs website.

Don't call your local law enforcement, they will not be able to help you out. You need to view the IRS web site and get in touch with them regarding this matter and how it should be handled.

Report him to your local state labor bureau and report him to the IRS. Believe me, he will "rue" the day he ever screwed around with you.
