Honesty is always the best policy...and they will probably respect you for your honesty...they will eventually find out and then you will be the un-truthful person.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh dear! You need to speak with a laywer about getting fired. Many lawers will assist you at no cost to you depending on the case. They will just take a percentage of the award.
I am a hiring/firing authority for my company and one of the first rules is that you cannot discriminate based on if a person is pregnant. (Hiring or Firing) You could sue - or at least settle out of court.
As far as your interview goes, don't tell them. And it is illegal for them to ask. You want to be hired, or not hired, based on your qualifications. Not based on weather or not you are going to have a child.

Does your last job know that it is illegal to fire someone for pregnancy? You may be able to sue. At 25 weeks, it is going to be pretty hard to conceal a pregnancy at a job interview and you are going to need maternity leave in another 15 weeks. You may want to mention it and see what the possibilities are.

Well miss I would say that you should because if you dont youre being dishonest, which means if you show symtoms of being pregnant then you can get in alot of trouble for not telling your employer. Try this let them know that your pregnant some employers understand your situation and may even give you some slack good luck miss. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask me them I will help you as much as I possibly can. Oh and congratulations!

I always thought it was illegal to sack you when you was pregnant. My company had to wait till the day i returned off maternity leave to make me redundant. I hope you sought legal advice?? You can still do it now !!! Did you work for them for more than 2 years as you are entitled to redundancy pay and this would have had to include all maternity pay and rights and holidays that you were still entitled to whilst on maternity leave. Yes you still earn holidays even when your not there. Including a further 6 months unpaid maternity leave.
Anyway is it probably in your best interest if you did tell new employer as it gives you more protection/ employee rights and it is only fair on the company. You don't want to get sacked for mis-leading them. Hope this helps
Oh you can only get maternity pay through work if you have been with the company for more than 26 weeks as mine was and that was only a year ago. You will have to claim benefits if they do let you have time off but have a look in your bounty book for advice lines who will tell you all your answers, the law and what you are entitled too.

You don't say what state you live in. Most states (like Texas) are "at will employment" states, and those laws heavly are in favor of the employer. What is important here is the way you were terminated. If you were terminated for cause that might affect your ability to collect unemployment benefits. If you were terminated as you ("too many people" or "busniess is down") you should be able to collect your unemployment benefits without much trouble.

depends on how far along you are~and FYI, you need to sue the pants off that company that fired you~no matter what their reasoning, I am sure a judge wouldn't like to hear that after you told them you are pregnant they suddenly dont need you. That id siscrimination, nit to mention total BS. I would say to start off on the right foot, just tell the prospective employer and test the waters. It might be good to tell them upfront so they can figure your maternity leave and what not. GOOD LUCK, and congratulations!!

My first question is, why in God's name is this irony in any sense of the word? It's going to be really hard to find work as everyone knows you'll be going on maternity leave soon. So I wouldn't tell them if you want the work, although they may really hate you if they end up hiring you for pulling that stunt on them.

Do you volunteer that you are pregnant at the interview. If you're offered the job, you can then indicate it, if you wish.
