Hi, I am a 23 year old man and have been working in a bank for almost three years. Up until a few months ago I had a very good relationship with my managers who saw me as a very committed, hard working man with very good prospects. However, over the last few months I have seen their attitude toward me decline. This is because of a woman who has worked in the bank for around 10 years. Everytime she has made a mistake or an error she runs to my manager like a school kid and blames me. Recently, we lost £40,000.00 because of an error SHE made, but she has told management that it was my fault. I have tried to plead my innocence but I have been labelled the cause of this. My work environment has increasingly become unbearable due to this woman's unnacceptance to admit to her faults.
What should I do?
Please help, this is my livelihood at stake!

In many movies like harry potter, chocolate etc etc we've seen fake cities/houses/buildings/roads etc are made.As you always need a civil engineer to build things,I was wondering if a civil engineer can pursue his/her career in movie making. What category their names come(when naming the crew at the end of the movie) and how the movie-civeng bussiness is(the salary/easy to find a job?)If you have any information or experience in this case please post an answer.Cheers!

I currently work for a dazed and confused construction company doing anything asked of me.... my normal activities are bill pay, invoicing, relaying phone and email messages and accounting. My company is ran by really by noone... I make my own hours.. if I want time off I take time off... if I want to leave early I leave early and I do not work nights and weekends. All of these things are great because I am a student finishing up my junior year of college. However, I hate being left all alone in this office all day! I crave interaction! Sooo a good friend of mine works @ MAC (makeup) I go and visit her at work frequently..this prompted her manager to offer me a job! Normally you have to have @ least 2 years experience to work @ MAC and I have none, so this is an extreme opportunity and honor. I would get a $4. pay increase. My dilema..my job is easy and I like having the weekends & nights to study, but I could work 10 hours less a week @ MAC and still make the same $. What should I do?

I have both licenses. One took me over a year and was a 2000 hour program, the other took me 20 hours and I took the class over a weekend.

I saw an ad in the paper for a government job with great benefits, etc. I called the number provided, and they said they would send me materials and an application for a fee of $70. When I tried to question them about it, they were pretty rude. They said I will get my money back if I don't get the job. Is this a scam or is it real? I'm a little suspicious, but if it's legitimate, it sounds great.

What college major do you need?

2007-01-31 07:20:19 · 8 answers · asked by Anonymous

I want to:
Have a 1 year diploma for cooking
1 year diploma for hairstyling
diploma for bartending
diploma for computer animation

I really love these careers and choosing one is not an option for me, obviously I'll go to college and take them one at a time.
I really want to run my own buisness.
What are some combinations of these jobs I could do to run my own buisness?

oh... and also I do writting on the side (not as a career, but I am a published author)

(i.e. restaurant with a bar)
(hairstyling with someone who gives you drink samples or food samples while you wait)...

other ideas?

How do you get a job? Do you just keep lying through your teeth till someone bites?

I don't want to work, I hate work, i just need money for a new computer. i've squandered opportunities at neat stuff cause in the end it was still work? Is there someplace I belong? From a HR perspective. Any comments?

Would really like to incorporate those existing items into the new 'robe, but like I said, the altered items don't fit snuggly in the waist (pockets in the way) and the slacks don't hang properly (too saggy in the seat and kind of limp starting at the knee). And the shoulders don't work at all!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As a programmer with 10 yrs experience I make less than a plumber apprentice, I sit in front of a computer all day and I get to compete with people from China and India. Would it make sense for me to become a plumber? I like working with my hands, getting dirty, doing a variety of things (instead of sitting in one place).

Manage a mobile home park in Arkansas, currently receiving $7.00hr plus a mobile home as salary. I pay all my own utilities and answer the phones in the evenings and all weekend long. Also show rentals on the weekends, all of which I do not get paid for.
Am I getting paid enough?

I'm planning on having a baby this year, or early next. I would love to be able to work from home part time. But most online jobs where you can work from home seem like scams! (surveys, typing, etc.).

I'm a certified insurance agent with my P & C license. I'm willing to get my Life and Health if it will help with my job search. I live in South Carolina, in the Columbia area.

I do not want to have to leave my house for work purposes though. I've heard that medical coding and billing is okay to do from home, but what would I need to do that? And does it pay any good. I'm making a pretty nice penny as an agent now. I dont' want to step down in the food chain too much.

Please give me serious answers and advice.

Thank you.

I was recently offered a job and I was offered 36k. The job description stated that pay would be 36k-47k DOE. So they offered the lowest. Keep in mind that this is a non profit. In terms of qualifications they asked for a BA and related work experience (they did not specify a number of years, just 'related experience'). I have a BA + 3 years experience doing the same work. Should I negotiate this offer? Are they trying to under shoot me? I have not discussed salary in the past with them, this is the first time it has been brought to the table. I research similar jobs in the area, not non-profits, and the average starting salaries are 55K. Also keep in mind that the employer showed true interest in me, by calling me the same day as the first interview to offer me the second interview when I was told I would receive a call in two days. After the 2nd interview I was told the same 2days and received a call in 15mins asking for permission to check references because I was the top candidate.
