Does anyone have any advice as to how in depth I need to study for this interview? It's my first interview with the company and I have already constructed my brag book. I have two years of business-to-business sales experience, and degrees in Marketing and Business Administration. Am I going to have to 'sell' a Sanofi drug on my first interview, or just 'sell' a pen or other inanimate object? Should I know details about the Plavix court case, stock exchange info, etc? Any advice at all, related to Sanofi or any other Big Pharma, would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've had my job as a security guard for a little over a year now. Before that I was fired from a better paying but more stressful job as a groundskeeper and was unemployed eight months. My job is relatively low stress and pays my bills, but I'm not making what I'd like. I want to make more money, yet I know that this job is a steady 40 hours a week during daytime hours (8-4) Monday through Friday. Also there are occaisional unclaimed shifts for overtime and overtime pay rate on holidays. I make $12.50 an hour but with overtime it's $18.75 (time and a half). I get a weeks paid vacation after a year which I haven't used yet but is still available, free dental and my medical insurance is a $50 per month deductable. After two years I get two weeks paid vacation. The raises aren't that great, I only got a .50 raise after nine months, but as I mentioned above the benefits are pretty decent and it's low stress. What do you think?

Supposedly my immediate boss, myself and perhaps others will be parting company with this person in the "future". I have a good retirement plan and don't want to leave this job. Other than this person, I actually love what I do, and I have helped the company in many ways that seem to be forgotten. I have taken personal ownership of my job and over the last year have had many accomplishments that have benefitted them. I can't seem to stay out of the line of fire, and get nauseous when I hear the sound of his voice coming down the hall. It is like working with a venomous snake ready to strike at unexpected times.

I'm really dreading the workload I'm going to have going back to work after these holidays. I've often thought it's Happy New Year for everyone who doesn't have to work, otherwise it's Happy Frantic New Year!

I work part time as a nanny and realized yesterday that my employer told me to come into work Monday last week when I talked to her. I've always have gotten holidays off in the past, but I'm pretty sure she means for me to go into work today for my usual 4 hours, which only means $40.00 even though it's a holiday(she won't give me holiday pay). I feel like I shouldn't go, because she probably meant Monday as in the beggining of the week after the new year holiday, but I refuse to call and ask her what she meant because standing up to her and telling her I shouldn't have to work would be incredibly hard for me to do. I'm sure she'll be calling soon to tell me to come in, would it be wrong of me to say I shouldn't be expected to come in?

I thought of becoming a researcher (on diseases), a chemist ( I have no idea what they do though) or a person who specialises in forensic science (but I don't think I will get paid much) or a skin doctor so that I can invent moisturising cream

Most of the jobs that I want are in the medical field but I have never studied biology before! I plan to study biology during the holidays but I'm afraid that I will never catch up with the others who had studied biology before.

any suggestions?
please give a brief description of the job that you recommend.

I'm planning to talk with an employee whose lost respect for her position and me. She's been working for me 3 months. I've seen a drastic change. i.e. calling in and saying she's going to be 30 minutes late because her heater broke (her husband is home and could take care of this), not addressing me as Miss_____ like she did when she first started, asking for time off to go see her brother in the hospital, and putting additional time on her card that I've not approved, saying she will work a weekend and not showing up until I call her and ask what's up with that? She's also taken 11 days off since she's worked with me 3 months now (6 days death in the family-3 days for daughter being sick-legitimate).

She's great with my daughter as a sitter, but I'm really disappointed and tend to feel like I'm being taken advantage of. She works in my home. I think maybe she has gotten too comfortable and expects to get time off everytime something happens.

Any suggestions?
