I've only had two jobs in all my life, and all of them had been retail, cashier. And I want to try something new like a bank teller. My mom's friend is going to hook me up to work there. Is it an easy job, do you think I'm going to be able to handle it with just the above experience?

I worked for a dr for 11 months I decided to hand in a resignation because I found a job closer to home, they were constantly working me overtime, and they told me that they do not give raises only bonues when I asked for an annual raise and evaluation. I am a good employee, hadn't missed a day and worked hard, so I felt I deserved a small raise (more principle) than money. I handed in a resignation giving 3 weeks notice which is more than the standard. They placed an ad in the paper for my replacment and the starting pay rate for someone with no experience a dollar more an hour than my current wadge. I am annoyed. Should I be? What would you do?

I have a BS in Business Mangement and 9 hours towards my MBA, but now I am thinking of changing my career to go into nursing. I see a LPN program that I could finish in about 6 months. I am not sure what my next step would be to finish early and advance fast.

Im a university student and its really hard for me to make an income while maintaining my marks. Does anyone know any evening - part time job positions/titles that require any work, if any? Basically I'm looking for a job where I can study and also get paid at the same time. I wouldn't mind doing a little work if I would get the rest of the night to study.

Is there anyone out there working for a pharmaceutical company that might need a lab assistant. I post raw materials as they came to the lab. Kept up the standards, retains and the folders for all the materials. Put out materials for the chemists to test. I did testing myself also and kept a lab notebook. I also did test in the QA Lab of the batches that were being made to make sure they met specifications (etc.).

I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a Masters in Library Science. (I have never worked as either an accountant or a librarian.) I also have a federal felony conviction, for which I served 5 months at a camp and 5 months house arrest. My offense was white collar and is two years old. My dream job would be to work as a librarian. I live in Southern California. Any good career advice would be appreciated.

What do you think you base your hires on? Is there a certain question you ask a potential employee, that if answered right, helps someone to get the job? If so what is it? What is your idea of someone you wouldn't consider for a job?
