I have worked at my job just over a year. I just got back a little less than a months ago from having surgery and am still not 100% so have had my hours cut at my request and have missed since I've been back. So I called called out because I wasnt well and my boss called me back and told me I needed to start showing up and hung up? Should I find another job or get over it?

When I was 18 I shoplifted a rental game and got charged 500 dollars, so they labeled it a felony, eventhough it was a $50 game. I have tried to get a job everywhere, fast food, warehousing, stocking, etc. but nobody will even give me a chance. That incident was 4 years ago, anybody have ANY suggestions?? I have 30 days starting tomorrow to get something, otherwise I will be living in my car :(. If there is any LEGIT stay-at-home jobs, I would love to hear about it, but I don't have much time to mess around with them. Thank you for your time guys.

We all know that you should ask questions about the nature of your job and more information on the company; however, I want to ask the interview one question that will help to remember the interview me. Why? Something to help the interviewer remember me a little bit extra over the other interviewers that day

Any ideas?

I'm trying to make some extra cash on top of my full time job so I can go travelling next year and also think learning the ropes on working behind a bar will help me out for job to get by when I'm also travelling, The Pub that is down the road from me has put an advertisement out seeking people to work behind the bar and no experience is needed we just have to send them a cover letter via email to apply for the job, What should I write in the cover letter if i have no experience bartending at all? I have only worked in an office environment, any helpful advice on what I should state in the cover letter would be VERY Appreciated... has anyone here had to submit anything similair?? and did or do you enjoy bar work?

I'm sure that it is, but after entering all my info, they wanted to know my social security #. This is a red flag to me. This site is advertised all over the tv and radio and web. It seems as though people use it nationwide. I'm not actually applying for a job, just looking for leads. Why do they need my SSN?

I'm a college undergrad who has 4 years as an assistant manager at various blockbuster videos under my belt, I have a nice GPA, wanting to go into Grad school right off the bat, and wondering what kind of possibilities are there in management above entrylevel retail such as what I was in?

I'd really like to pick a corporate setting maybe, or perhaps a management field setting. What kind of salary could I expect out of these?

Do I seem to have a good resume here (4 years exp during college, 3.75 GPA, MBA in management, possible doctorate)?

I am interested in the accounting program at my college. I am enrolled and still taking all the core classes first (math, english, science, ect..) I struggle with math, but I am learning it slowly. I was wondering what a career in accounting is like? What is the CPA exam like? Is it worth it?
