When I worked a production job we worked in pairs of 2, refiling documents. Our production was to refile X amount boxes per hour. We were required to get a new partner each day so as to make it fair. One of the fastest workers complained when she realized she would be working with me. I told her to not worry I would keep up, AND I did. I could always adjust & get in the flow with who I was working with.

With this type of question, the answer itself is not as important as HOW you answer. They just want to know that you are not the type of person who cannot admit they are wrong.
Choose something from when you started work, and choose a mistake that anyone would make - you passed it in a little late, for example. Answer confidently to show that the incident was not a big deal to you and you moved on.

Describe something, but make sure that it has nothing to do with any lack of quality of your work; but more so some ulterior motive or idiocracy on the part of the criticizer, then explain how level-headed you handled it. Leave out any 'win-lose' comments at the end.

If you say anything negative against yourself, I can almost
guarantee it will be used against you somewhere down the
line. There is probably a way to answer this without lieing.
And if your work was never criticized-you won't be lieing.
"I have always been a very hard worker and my work has
never been criticized."

Thats kind of like my question I love to hate which is "What is your biggest work flaw?.. or something like that (I always say procrastination..)..
But to answer your question... Yeah, one day so and so criticized my flyer I had been working on because he didn't like the color. I told him that the color was chosen by the customer

You could respond, " Well..one employer said that I had a tendency to be a perfectionist. I just like paying attention to detail!"
That puts a good spin on that!
