It depends on what kind of traveling you want to do.
I work as a corporate trainer for a large hotel company. I'm in a new city every week, training a hotel on their computer system.
Its a very lonely lifestyle. You're NEVER home. When you ARE home, you're so tired you can't enjoy yourself. Your friends don't have time for you when you are home because they have their own life when you're gone. You spend all sorts of money on luggage, food on the road, travel manaement, etc. And you never see that money again, no matter what your prospective company says.
My job didn't require me to have a degree in this field- just experience. I have 2 bachelor's, an associates, several certifications, and then 10 years experience in this field. It was the experience that got me the job.
Get a degree in English, in Business, in IT. Something "generic." Then go work your way UP to a job that allows you to travel.
And only travel for about a year. Anything more than that and your body burns out (as mine has) -- this lifestyle will litterally kill you.

I.T. work if you are very good at routers and networking - companies need people to travel and install computer equipment. It take time to build up from local travel to global - depending how good you are and your company.
