How can i help her to get on her feet. Are there any places she can go to get help and work again. She regrets for doing that again

I just got a part-time job as a food delivery person and they are offering me $7/hour plus a partial delivery charge, plus tips, of course. What I find strange is that I don't get reimbursed for gas mileage (I have to use my own car). Is this normal? What are your thoughts/experiences?

Thanks

I am currently a teaching assistant in a middle school. I have been there 5 years. I do not like working in the classroom with the middle school students anymore. It is not an easy age to deal with and after 5 years I really can't take it anymore. I have let certain people know in the school that I would like to perhaps move into an office position within the school. Is it not appropriate for me to express that to the other employees? Should I have not said anything to anyone and just kept it to myself? It's not like I want to leave the school, I just want to work in the office of the same school.

I noticed something a while back when I was asking and answering questions posted to newsgroups which is similar to Yahoo answers, but with more restrictions and interactions. Anyways, Somebody from Russia sent his resume' to the people on the newsgroup. I am not an employer. I have been noticing that I have been having a lot of trouble with all these different Job boards and with recruiters that can barely understand just exactly what it is that I do. (Embedded Electronic Engineer). They just match a couple words and look for some buzz words. Well, what do you think of combining the point system with the Newsgroups and Employer/Employee referrals and reccommendations based on the newsgroup question and answers. I personally think that is a good system. I answer tough questions on a newsgroup, but then I talk to recruiters and they are oblivious to that.

What do you think?

a friend of mine was working for a company. She left the company, and 1 week later the pay for the month went into her bank account ($2000). about 6 weeks later they rang her up asking her to pay about $600 of the money back because they realized they had overpaid her cos she finished in the middle of th e month. The monthly payment is for 2 weeks in advance, and for the previous 2 weeks.

1. Should she pay them back or is she entitled to keep the money?
2. What if she already spent the money?

I am studying to get a 2 year degree in business managment. I will be graduating in august and lately have been looking around just to see what types of jobs are out there right now. Will it be possible for me to even get a good job? When I started to take the classes I thought it would be a good idea, but now I'm seeing that no one even somthing like sears or target even cares if you have a degree in business as long as it is a bachelors, which I find disgusting. I could have a degree in fashion as long as it is a bachelors and they will hire me?

Thats just sickening.

Will it be possible for me at all to find someplace beyond the taco bell?

I have been working for 8 3/4 years at a company that insists I work at least 65 hours a week, while putting my wife through college. Now I only want to work 40-50 hours, and the boss says no, so I walked out today. I am looking for a job tomorrow, but what would you do?

I am preparing for entering in a community college and i would like to take all kinds of interesting classes but I also want the qualifications that will give me a cool nice paid job in a year or 2.
I like history, geography, phisics, astronomy, antropology, biology, chemistry, politics, music, dance, gymnastic (Nadia Comaneci), tennis...the bad news is that I don't like very much mathematic or at list because I had wired professors I never got the chance to really get attracted to this subject.
Even though I like geometry.

So here's my situation, guys, I am going to (hopefully) graduate this year. I know for a FACT that I want to live in Chicago, permanently. My question is, what is more advisable to do before I make my move: take out a loan and just go for it and find a job once I get there, or wait and rot here in Miami hoping for an interview, secure a job, and THEN move...

If I do take out a loan, which I'm leaning towards more, how much would it have to be and what should I take into consideration? How do I even begin to look for the jobs in my field (International Relations/Geography)?!

Any serious advice would be helpful, really. And for extra, to those who've lived in Chicago AND Miami, which do you prefer and why?
