a friend of mine used to work for a department store. She left cause she stole and was arrested for few hrs. Someone told her she will never get a job with that record. She is a really nice person that did something without thinking right. Can she get a job with a record like that .She was a sales assistance for some department store. Is there anything she can do? How can i help her to get on her feet. Are there any places she can go to get help and work again. She regrets for doing that again

looks like she will be flipping bugers the rest of her life, her chances of getting a job anywhere where she deals with money and customers information like credit cards and so on it is going to be a tough road ahead.

Not all jobs will do a background or criminal history check. Only those that do, will ever find out. There are plenty of places she can work. Best thing to do is start with an employment agency. The people that work in those places can answer all these kinds of questions, and help her find new employment. Shes not alone. Tell her we are all human and have made mistakes. Just because hers seems so big right now, doesnt mean it will hang there forever. Trust me, I know.Much luck.

Criminal record is generally private information. If a prospective employer wants to check your record, they need your permission. Of course, if you refuse, they don't have to hire you. Certain industries insist on seeing a police check (teaching, health, childcare), but others will not. She also most likely won't be able to get a reference from the store she stole from too, and new employers might ask about that. But you can definitely work again.

Yes, theres a chance. Gettign arrested hurts ur chances, but doesn't destroy them. If you can keep ur record clean from here on out then you'll be fine. (Also depending on the type of crime has diffrent hurt levels)

There are jobs out there but they are hard to find. I would ask a probation officer for advice.
