Tenacity, and a can-do attitude. You don't have to have done something great or tremendous, but you have to show them that you're willing to take on any challenge and you're confident that you will succeed. Confident, not overbearing, just confident.

Be confident, dress well, be friendly and open. Don't try to be someone you aren't though, because if you get hired your employer will soon figure out you put on an act to get the job. That never turns out pretty!

Not knowing what job you are interviewing for makes giving a good response a little more difficult. If it involves working with the public, demonstrate or give examples that show you know how to be a people-person. If you need to be a team player, let your interviewer know how you will go about doing that the best or how you will improve yourself to be able to do something like that better.

Make sure that when you are answering their questions you are making eye contact and smiling. Try to elaborate instead of giving one or two-word answers.

Good luck on the interview!

When I interview people, the main thing I look for is, "does this person fit here?" That's slightly unfair to the applicant, because a lot depends on us, not him or her. Certain people simply won't be happy with us, and I try to find out about that likelihood during the interview simply by observing what kind of person the applicant is.
My workplace consists of a bunch of happy-go-lucky adventurers from all over the world who like to hang upside down from doors or do the Haka during lunch break. Some timid, uptight small-town guy in a suit and tie who thinks putting one extra sugar cube in his tea is wild and crazy is simply not going to like it wih us for long.
So, my recommendation to you is: Tune into your interviewing panel and get a feel for who and how these people are. Get into their spirit. If you can pull that off, they'll notice it, too, and consider you a likely pick. If you can't, or don't get the job, be glad - you might have hated the company you would have been in.

Your application and resume shows your knowledge...the interview shows your personality. SHOW IT! Smile, be friendly and realize that the person you are talking to is just doing their job. Nobody special. Try to find things in common with that person, compliment their office, their children's pictures, etc., anything that sets you apart from the next applicant. Dress well.

That's what they are looking for in an interview...friendliness, cooperativeness and a nice (real) smile.

be honest and sincere.

think about things before you go to the interview. what are your strengths. what are your weaknesses.

when asked about your weaknesses, NEVER say you are a perfectionist. they see right through this. think about this before you go in and be honest. it shows that you are self aware. also, tell them how you plan to go about changing it. it shows that you can work on problems that you may have. in the job i currently had, i told them that i have a hard time with team work, but that i have done research on how best to work as part of a team. it showed honesty, self awareness and an ability to work through my problems. after i got the job, the interviewer later told me that it made me stand out, cause most people lie or cant think of what to say in that type of question.

be confident in yourself, and try to develop a bit of a repoir with your interviewer, without being over-friendly or trying to hard.

good luck

Be creative. You need to study the job market and know how majority of the candidate present their cv and be different from them. This will draw attention to your application.
