Working Dogs - Most working dogs are trained as puppies. These dogs help people with disabilities and make great therapy dogs.
Search and Rescue - Again these dogs are trained as puppies. This is a great job for high energy dogs that need a challenge, like Retrievers and German Sheppards.
Or just being a dog trainer. Which is great, you get to teach puppies how to be good house pets. Search the net to find what interest you.

There are many jobs such as pet shops, humane societies, animal control officer. Unfortunately most do not pay very well. But if you really do want to try this field, and I can understand as I myself worked in this field. 1st. I would recommend staying away from pet shops as the pay would be the worst and the job would be discouraging. Next a veterinary tech. would not be bad except most vets don't pay well. I would recommend ether an animal control officer or working for a humane society, because both jobs would give you a good wage and benefits. I don't know where you live but I'm from the Boston,Ma. area and I worked for the Animal Rescue League of Boston for 13 years, the pay was not bad they provided full benefits payed medical, vacation, holidays, and vet care for your own pets. There are also many positions you can advance to such as taking care of the shelter animals, vet tech., ambulance driver, public relations, fund raising as most run off donations, cruelty officer. A vet tech. position would require some schooling and cruelty officer I would recommend law enforcement course or training as they are special police officers. Some organizations may pay for training. Hope this was of help and good luck!

You could work at a vet's office, in a pet store, at a groomers, or start your own puppy training company. A call to a vet might uncover more options.
