I noticed something a while back when I was asking and answering questions posted to newsgroups which is similar to Yahoo answers, but with more restrictions and interactions. Anyways, Somebody from Russia sent his resume' to the people on the newsgroup. I am not an employer. I have been noticing that I have been having a lot of trouble with all these different Job boards and with recruiters that can barely understand just exactly what it is that I do. (Embedded Electronic Engineer). They just match a couple words and look for some buzz words. Well, what do you think of combining the point system with the Newsgroups and Employer/Employee referrals and reccommendations based on the newsgroup question and answers. I personally think that is a good system. I answer tough questions on a newsgroup, but then I talk to recruiters and they are oblivious to that.

What do you think?

I'm not following your concept. You seem to be asking whether this site called Newsgroups should include a point system in their design. Or perhaps to add points for a good resume?

I think you had best reword the question and post it to Newsgroup users, who know their structure. We do not do resumes here. That would be "advertisement" for the purposes of our Community Guidelines. I have seen one or two questions involving resumes, where a person basically asked other users to critique their resume, but I personally feel this is at least bordering on violation of Community Guidelines.

Face it, Yahoo survives by charging a fee to advertise. If we turn this Answers site into a way to advertise for free, we are working against the best interests of Yahoo, and therefore of the continued existence of this site.
