I would like to relocate to Kansas, but I can't afford to move without having a job to go to.. I enjoy working out doors, and have worked in a plant nursery for 6 years, and am now working for the Ag. Dept. I have put my apps. on line, but no responses yet. It's like a catch-22.. If you don't live there, it's harder to get a job, and vise-versa.. I'm told there are ethanol plants going in, but I can't find the location's on a web site for Kansas. I am open for other job suggestions if anyone knows anyone who has a business in that part of Kansas.

Would I have a mandantory internship and how easy will it be to get a job? Is the job common, and what is the general description besides working with cancer? Also- can I work for a private practice or is everything government owned?

I am expecting to start work as a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 2228 very soon, and I would like to have some idea of the union dues would be. This is my first time in a union shop, and have no idea what to expect.

I know engineers who have gone straight for a masters (or even higher) and when they got out, they were told they were overqualified for all the jobs they applied for. Should I work between college and graduate school first? Or should I just go for it? And is being overqualified for a job just a fancy way of saying they don't want to pay what you're worth?

I was at first thinking of the FBI, but then I saw the paycheck. I do not think that I could live off that amount of money. Tha CIA crossed my mind. Being so secretive, I imagined how anyone would get into such an orginization. Does anyone know what a CIA field agent would get paid and how they are hired? Also, does anyone know the qualifications?
Thanks!

He took out an re-hire fee for my position(He is not going to fill the position) and an early leave of job fee. All totaling $5,000.00 so actually my last two checks were not paid out.

Preferably one that pays. I know that is a lot to ask. It doesn't have to pay, but that would be nice. Please help. I have too much spare time, and I am running out of things to do.

A couple of weeks ago, I volunteered at the special olympics bowling tournament where I met someone whose wife is the director of compliance at the local children's hospital. He told me that if I wanted to get an internship there (which I do), I should contact his wife. He left me his card and his wife's name and her position.

It has been about 3 weeks since I met the guy and the application deadline is nearing. What should I say to her when I call her? I don't want to sound rude or manipulative, but I really want this internship and it is VERY competitive.

I want to switch careers. I don't want to sit behind a computer all day. I love nature, I would like to do something in it, instead of just looking at it through a window. Does anyone know how to get into this field? Also, some job descritions would help. I still have no idea.
