It means equal opportunity for all. Everyone needs a job at some point in their life and no company can discriminiate because of gender m=male f=female D=disabled v=veteran. Let's say a woman applied for a job. She got an interview and aced her interview. However, the interviewer told her that only a man can get this position. She of course will report this company to the Labor department because she got every right to work at the company, but the company only hires men.
