Well, you can do what I did. I became a criminal. The hours are flexible, and I am my own boss since I am self-employed. I have met lots of interesting people, and I always feel wanted. When I go to the post office everyone seems to know me. I pay nothing in taxes and everything I have is paid for because I stole it. So why not try it? What's the hold up? Talk to your college counselor. He or she must have a long list of related careers. I think that anything to do with forensic science would be fascinating. Use the internet also for possible career avenues. The field is much more wide open than it use to be. A strong science background would be helpful. One thing is for sure; jobs related to criminology have job security. Crime, unfortunately, will always be with us.

I should add here you don't need a degree to join the police force, all you need to do is pass the standard literacy and numeracy exam. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter where you get your degree from, as a BA is BA, no matter which University awards it. Your best bet is staying where you are just now and wait till your modules specialise more in Criminology in second and third year.
