A group of workers was fired for misconduct, but the person that brought it to management's attention is guilty of the same misconduct, probably even worse. However, this employee got to keep their job.

I just had my annual performance review, and without any warning, verbal or written, they told me I was not eligible to remain in the same position and that effective immediately I would start a different position that Is a demotion even tough I don't take a cut in pay. If I was doing such a poor job the whole year, why did they wait a whole year to tell me? Now they want me to report to my new position tomorrow, and I asked for 2 days of sick/vacation because I didn't feel prepared and they won't give it to me. I also asked for them to put this in writing but they are saying that since I am not a new hire, I don't get an "offer" letter, I will get a job description if I decide to accept, if not, I am voluntarily resigning...
Any toughts or suggestions? Please?

I work in the financial industry, Acct Dept. and at times will be reporting to the Manager, Controller, CFO or sometime CEO. Scarry... I know. But my questions is. I think my resume is okay but was told that I should present a human side to my resume. So I decieded to add in special interest. Never added this before so not sure if it's proper or not. Please share your thoughts. What would you think if you were looking at my resume?

What do you think? Should I leave it out...re-word it, or just say somethig in the norm?

I am job searching and travelling at the same time. The problem is that I will not have cell phone access for about 6 weeks, only e-mail. Am wondering which of the following options is best:

a) Explain my situation somewhere in my cover letter;

b) Leave out phone # and just put my e-mail address on my resume, without giving an explanation (TMI for potential employer? resume directly in trash can?);

c) Use my parents' home #, and ask them to forward messages (the problem with this is that it might take a while for me to get a message...)

Anybody ever been in a similar situation? What did you do? Suggestions most welcome!

I know this may be a common sense question, but forgive me, I trying to figure out what is better a certificate or a certification. Why I ask is that I'm going to school for a Medical Administrator and wanted to take some additional course(billing and coding), and there is a school in my area besides the one I'm going to is offering courses. One of the courses you take will give you a certificate when you complete it. I'm just confused is to what can I do with a certificate when applying for a job? I wonder if they will take me serious or laugh me!?!?! I know I'm over acting to the issue, but could some one GIVE ME SOME KNOWLDGE ON THIS ISSUE!!!!!????!?!?
