Should I put this in my resume on special interest or leave it out?

Question

I work in the financial industry, Acct Dept. and at times will be reporting to the Manager, Controller, CFO or sometime CEO. Scarry... I know. But my questions is. I think my resume is okay but was told that I should present a human side to my resume. So I decieded to add in special interest. Never added this before so not sure if it's proper or not. Please share your thoughts. What would you think if you were looking at my resume?

What do you think? Should I leave it out...re-word it, or just say somethig in the norm?

Special Interest:
•Meeting new people and exploring different cultures and understating their way of life
•Learning about computer applications and finding ways to use it to my advantage. (Knowledge is just a tool, creativity is what brings it to life)
•Reading Literature: History (Econ Related); Philosophy – less the politics; Poetry; Business (broad array of interest); and any Novels or text that pertain to the views of Ayn Rand’s self efficiency.

btw: I'm a 24 year old male hoping to work my way into the stock market.

Also, these business are not the fortune 500s. They are still consider to be categorized as small business (500 employees or less)

I've seen it added, but keep in mind the most important thing is that it is 1 page, and has details about what you accomplished, not a job description. Verifiable information is key: the more you can measure, the better off you are.

Anything that will show you as more well-rounded without detracting from your qualifications can help, especially just starting out, when your academic life represents the bulk of your experience.

The more you get it out there the more of a chance you may find you actually like and the more who read the merrier.

put it in the resume.Remember you are trying to impress your employer so he could hire you.
