Better Hope you are not caught, because it is grand larceny, and the punishments are severe.

That would be grand theft if the person is caught. They will most likely lose their job and be arrested. If the company presses charges you could be convicted of a felony, may spend time in jail/prison and may have to pay restitution to the company.

If you are having thoughts about this consider this. Every job you apply for you will have to disclose you were convicted of theft or embezzlement.

Is 10K really worth the risk?

If they are caught, they will do some serious time unless and if they can work it out with their employer. I would say get a lawyer and fast if you want to cut a deal.I had a friend do something like this-and they put a lien on his house, so that he had to give them the house .He did not do jail time but they took his home.
I hope this is not you.

Yeah.. what IF?

You mean what happens to him/her?

You mean what happens to the company?

You mean what happens to people that know he/she did it.

You mean what happens when the IRS finds out? (yes you are supposed to report criminal proceeds - thats what sent Al Capone to jail).

Yep... inquiring minds want to know... what IF?
