I live in the USA, but this question is difficult to answer. Forty years ago I could have listed several but all of them seem to have fallen from grace. I could have said President but then John Kennedy got us entangled in Vietnam, LBJ continued the mess, Nixon got us out then had his Watergate fiasco, Ford didn't spend enough time to do anything, Jimmy Carter was a good man in way over his head, Regan didn't do too badly, Bush 1 had trouble reading lips, Clinton well I am a Vietnam vet so that should tell you what I think of Clinton, and now we have the cowboy. A cowboy I much prefer over the other evils but a cowboy none the less.

And the office of the President is not the only thing with stains on it. Our sports figures are chemically enhanced. Hollywood legends are revealed as Gays and Lesbians. Doctors get a lot more attention for the mistakes they make and Shakespeare said we need to kill all the lawyers.

That pretty well disassembles the USA and most of the big professionals in it.

So what is the answer to your question? Well let's see, I know. The most prestigious profession is a that of a plumber. My Dad was a plumber and a better man you were not apt to meet. He was honest, moral, courteous, and generous. So that's it, plumber is the profession you are looking for. Or at least it is the one where my vote goes.

Have a great day, and a better tomorrow.

Any profession. Prestige is earned by really coming through and getting a job done well. Just having a title does not make you prestigiouos, it's what you do with that title when building relationships with clients that earns you that prestige.
