So i have a choice coming up within the next month or so, i can take a somewhat easy road and become an assistant manager at Pizza Hut and make roughly 30,000 a year give or take a few thousand, but if i do than i pretty much pass up on going back to school. I could really use the money cuz i'm dead broke and live paycheck to paycheck, but i really wanna better myself at the same time and i know i could further myself at Pizza Hut by going further than just Assistant Manager.. .... ***big Charlie Brown scream*** ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!! someone please give me some advise

Some people at work did some things that I did not agree with. It seems that my boss thinks I am involved in it. I want to clarify my role and my loyalty. Would it be best to write her an email or just bust my *** as usual?

At my company we are allowed to take 3 days of paid bereavement leave when a family member dies. I took a day off to go to my grandma's funeral and then found out that "bereavement leave" comes out of your sick leave! Is this typical?

I have just started to work in my local shop, the owner says that I have to buy an apron/tabard to protect my clothing. I am quite tall and I don't know what to get all I know is it has to be dark blue! It's a 50/50 split on what the other staff wear!

If you think I should wear an apron do you think I should tie it behind my back or in front? Or do you think a tabard would be better.

My last day of work is coming up and I want to tell everyone off in a special way.

Some background information:

1. The job is Marshalls, basic retail, picking up crap, etc.
2. The job is low-paying, my first job, irritating hours, and completely thankless
3. My next job will most likely be a work-study job at UF, so I don't really care about maintaining a positive image of my stint at Marshalls.
4. The managers and an assortment of obnoxious chicks with attitudes have been annoying the hell out of me for the entire stay there.

One of the things I was gonna do was to fill opened condoms with soap and leave them in various places in my nemesis's area.

Keep in mind, this last day I have is worth about twenty bucks.

in my office i have noticed that too much politics have taken its place and there is this particularly a very cuning gut who tells his goal to come in the office is to do time pass. though he is good in interaction, he doesnt know to do proper work. on the other hand i am the guy who has a very basic level of interaction but have good skills in the actual work, so my query is that can my boss fire me or him with a huge difference in me and that guy...... ???

I recently asked for a bonus at my job because I have stayed late and worked extra hard for a while now and my boss told me he'll take me out to dinner as my bonus. I am not sure if I got it wrong but I was hoping for like a different type of bonus that will help me pay my expenses. How do I make it clear that I want like maybe something else as a bonus because I mean dinner?!

I am considering going back to school to get a degree in nursing. I already have a bachelors in Health Science and 4+ years experience working in a hospital setting (admin type posistions). I would appreciate some input on the pros and cons of nursing from anyone with experience in the field. Thanks!

I'm a manager at a convenient store and I'm getting to the point that I want to give it up and just be a regular cashier, I stay behind on my paper work all the time, the stress of it all is just getting to me, but everytime I go to tell them I don't want the managers postion anymore, I end up not telling them. I love my boss' they're like family to me and they have alot going on right now, short of employees so I feel sorry for them and won't tell them how I feel, so do I just go ahead, get brave and tell them how I feel and finally relieve myself from all the stress, or just keep my positon be unhappy so things will be better for them?

I have been employed with the same comapny for 16 years. They recently decided to be open on Sundays and later in the evening. I do not mind coming in to work at 6:30 am but I have a problem with working Sundays, Banks do not need to be open on Sunday. We hired people for Sundays now they do not want to work them. I feel the people with seniority should have first choice.

I've been unemployed since November 2005 when our company had a major lay-off. I've gone back to school to change career paths, but have also been looking to get another job in what I was doing. Unfortunately, nothing has come up yet and I'm getting kinda" bummed-out about the fact that I can't find another job. School is going to take another year and a half to finish, and to be quite honest, I really don't enjoy school anymore (I've been there, done that) and would just like to get back to working in a chemistry lab again. Anyone ever been unemployed and found themselves in this situation? I'm just venting I quess. Thanks for listening.

Ya know those websites that say u can make hundreds or thousands of dollars a week working at home? And they say u only have to work a few hours a day. Are they for real or is it all just a scam. Can u really make all that money with those sites? I'd love to do it if i really could make that much money. Does anyone do that or know someone who does?
