No joke, I read this while reading the news on my laptop this morning. This happened to a 21 year old female in London. According to her side of the story, she called in sick because she had a migraine. Here in the States, people call in quite often. Her boss said that he attempted to reach her several times but was unsuccessful. His last resort was to text msg her. He defended himself by saying, "Since this is a youth culture and oriented type of job, using text msg, in this case is acceptable." (Paraphrase.) My thoughts? This smells totally illegal! He should have waited until she came to work, pulled her aside in his office and the talked to her. It's called professional courtesy. If this happened in the United States I'm sure she'd have a case. What do you think?

Hi!! I am a 29 / male. Have been into share trading till recently. I want to change my field now. I want to study further. But, by the time I complete my studies I will be 31. Is a person employable (as a fresher , coz' I am switching career) at the age of 31? Also I've zeroed in on Retail / Real Estate / Beautician and hair dresser courses, could you please suggest which one would be the best suitable for me and also offers the best prospects. I am about-27-year-old male. As an Industrial Engineering graduate, I had worked for 2.5 year in a factory in my home country as a supervisor. But I found that my work-life was boring, and I was interested in IT. Now I will move to Singapore to get better job and better life. This is not only about money or position. I need a workplace where I can give my talents to.
I am also planning to take my master's degree in the next several years. Perhaps it can be my turning point in my career. I want to be a lecturer or a book-writer someday.
I have a lot of plans but I don't know how to work it out. Any suggestions?

Need more money to support myself and my child. IM into my rehabilitation stage. :D Im on my way back too school IM looking into getting a place of my own. So I feel that I can work. The money I get just isn’t working anymore. When I go to school I send my son to a school. And, I got someone to watch hin. And he gets to learn, have a good time and be safe. It's gotta be payed for though.

Accenture gives a 3 stage interview process, 1) They get to know you and ask general questions about yourself and them to get your personality traits.
2) Asking technical processes that you may have used in your previous job and what functional processes you used to. Plus other technical questions..
Get a general feel of your work ethics etc etc.
3) a Performance interview????
