I'm going to start my first year in college and am puzzled about these two majors. When can I choose my major? which one earns more? Which job is easier than the other? what courses should I take? Is it hard to get the CPA? well, it's hard to decide since both of them have advantages and disadvantages. Please help!!!! Thank you!!!!!

As someone with an Economics degree who teachs it and accounting, I can tell you that what you major in is strictly a personal choice.

Most business schools have you take a wide variety of business classes, including accounting, economics, marketing, and management, so you'll get exposure to them all. Once you start taking those courses, you'll begin to decide what you like most, which will help you pick a major.

It's not uncommon for freshman to not know what they'll major in, but eventually they find their way after taking some classes and seeing what those subjects are all about.

As for the CPA exam, it's tough! even for accounting grads.

both are important and useful. you must consider which from which only by your personal inclinations and tendencies. If you want to be creative and make a big name you better be an economist but if you want steady income and calm life you will be an accountant. In 20 years the definition of these jobs will change a have a new look and function. This was mentioned because in 20 years you will be in your mid life and that period is sensitive to a person who wants to grow or to stabilize.
