I go into work 1 hour before the rest of the office.
I open the mail, sort it, check it, date stamp it, scan it, enter it into Quick books and pass it along to the next poor soul.
Then, I check all of the insurance certificates and scan them into the computer. If someone is not insured, I cannot offer them business.
Second, I check, sort and scan all of our associates information into the computer to make sure they are legal for the day.
Third, I check all the invoices and bill the companies.
Fourth, I print the checks and mail them to pay our bills.
Fifth, I write reports on all of the above.
Sixth, Check time cards.
Lastly, I set up the work at the end of the day, so when I come in in the morning, I'm a little ahead of the game.
Just Shoot me will ya?

12 days working, 2 days off. One week is 20+ hours, the other is 32+ hours. I say plus because I do fill-ins too. The payweek runs from Saturday to Friday. I am a home support worker. My work varies from personal care to housework..some of each or sometimes just sitting with someone watching tv with them. My favorite part is preparing meals for them.

i verify practitioner credentials (social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists..etc) monday through friday, 6am-6pm. Doesn't sound like much work, but dealing with some of these doctors and their office staff can be frustrating. PLUS, some things aren't verified too easily, then you get to deal with college registrars, licensing boards and insurance companies... NOT fun.
then, when the 60 hour work week is over, i have to go in and work 6 more hours on saturday every other weekend.. woo.

Well Monday morning is my first high school class of the week. I have 3 classes a day until Friday afternoon. I have a 45-minute lunch and 10 minute passing periods. Not too bad. O yeah and I have football practice everyday after school.

No fixed hours... travel to a different city once every few weeks for 2-3 days of meetings / entertaining clients... 8AM - 5PM if I am in the office... too many meetings, too much time on the phone, and very little structure overall.

i teach about 10 guitar students a day, mon - thurs. on friday and saturday i work on the sales floor at the same store i teach at. its really rewarding to me, helping a kid learn and pick out a guitar to learn on. they're all excited, and its kinda cool to share what i know with them, and and to get to be a role model of sorts to them.
i also play in a band, so most friday and saturday nights we play out, but i dont really count that as work, even though it is a lot of work, and we get paid.
