Want to be empathetic, also want to show displeasure with the effort and follow up they put forth....they had no idea the deal ever went down.

Some woman called me and said she liked my resume for a job I applied for but I would need to send her in my personal documents like SS#, license # all by fax. I asked her if I needed an interview and she said she would have to verify my info first. Should I be skeptical??

It's not that I care so much about it, I learn to deal...but my co-workers at every job I have hate me! I'm quite, and shy at first, but I do warm up. I make it a habit to always use eye contact, I don't fool around with the office politics and I am jovial and ethical when it comes to working. However, my co-workers at my last few jobs just don't like me. Once in a while, a few males co-workers will befriend me, but I usually realize they want to date and then it's over with. I don't put down other co-workers and when other people do, I defend them. I hear them talking about me--though they know NOTHING about me or who I am. They don't even know if I'm married or have kids or anything.

But should I even care? Should I just do the best job I can do and let it go? Wouldn't that be the honorable way to go? What would you think if you worked with someone like I described?

I am a manager of a huge apartment complex. There have been many residents that have told me that the maintenance man has not been doing his job. (we work different shifts) I work first and he comes in after I get off. I have heard that he spends lots of time in one certain apartment and gets jobs done quickly for one specific resident. Takes a week or longer for other jobs. He stands around talking to residents or chatting on his cell phone. How can I catch him? I live on site. I'd have to go through my regional to have him fired. I am in a fire at will state.Advice please.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd prefer to hear from someone who's actually DONE this. I think my skills are decent, but it'd be great if anyone knows of any company or companies that have a website on which you display your data entry abilities thru tests, that the company can see. Does anything like this exist?

I am already working as a personal trainer at this gym called Curves. I just got a phone call from this tutoring place called "Casa", which is an after school day care program for immigrant children. I used to do voulenteer service hours there, and I loved it. Now they are asking me to go work there. Another this is I want to be teacher when I grow up, so this can be good.
Advatages of Curves: I get to do my homework while I am getting paid b/c sometimes people never come. I like the people. My boss is awesome. Disadvantages: I get paid 6.50 an hr. I have to pay for parking which is $6 a day, and I work for 6 or more hrs. and sometimes on saturdays.
Advantages of Casa: I get paid $8 an hr. free parking, I dont work on weekends. I only work for about 4 hrs a day. It's right next to my school so i can go there straight from school.I love children, and my boss would also be awesome. Disadvantages of Casa: I don't get to do my h/w while getting paid so I have to take my own time.

MY husband wants to become a truck driver. He is thinking of going through a company who trains you to get your CDL such as Swift. He wants to do long haul for a few years to help us with our bills and then come back home and get a job where he will be home more often. Is anyone out there a truck driver or drivers wife with any advice? We have a 13 month old daughter who I know wont understand why daddy is gone so much. What is the amount of time you must work for a company that trains you (for your CDL) before you can leave with no strings attached and without having to pay your tution? How often will he beable to come home? Is there a monthly schedule or how is it organized so he knows when he will be home? How is the money? Insurance? Vacation? Any comments or information would be great. Thanks to anyone with a serious answer to my questions?

My husband is 41 years old and has a college degree. He has over 15 years of banking experience and 10 years of management experience. Two years ago we had a big disagreement over a used car that we purchased. It was a lemon and we made the stupid decision to put a stop payment on the check. Well he had to go to court and now has a felony conviction for passing a bad check. We have three little girls and my husband is working at a hotel making $9.00/hr. Between him and I our income is very small. We live in the Cleveland area and the work force is slow anyway, but with his felony he can't find anything that will allow him to utilize his education/experience. Does anyone have any ideas of what we can do? We are so depressed. We are still paying on student loans and so far behind.

I hired an Agency worker whose performance is extremely poor. I raised this with my managers and they agreed on terminating his contract. I spoke to his agency and gave him a week notice. Another manager within the same department shows interest on keeping him on, so she spoke to the our manager and I was told to keep him? My decison have been overruled even though I am a manager in the business?

What do I do, I feel i have treated badly by both managers?

I'm 16 and there's a new target by my house. It's not open yet, but I don't know if I can work there, being 16. Also, I was wondering when to send an application.
I'm guessing you do it well before the store opens.

I've been looking for a job for a few months now, and been able to find nothing. I've been doing my part by checking back with the places I apply to, and they always say they're hiring, but never call me. My resume isn't bad (in fact I have experience in quite a few areas) and I have no criminal record. I can't go back to school until I pay off fees I owe. What can or should I do?

I'm just like any ordinary guy - I like sports, movies, music, etc. I majored in finance and college and have a degree. I don't want to do what i'm doing right now for the rest of my life - let alone a few more weeks. I'd like to work for myself or in a field that I would actually be interested in. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

In today's society, most people dont stay on their jobs for longer than 1 year.

I've been with my company and in my position for 5.5yrs...which is a record breaker.
