I have a new mortgage company and I am looking for loan officers that would like to work out of their homes. I do not want to spend a lot of money for an ad but I would like to give LOs the opportunity to hear what kind of deal we have going on. There is no split, we just charge the LO a $500 fee and $395 processing fee and that's it (no hidden costs!) If anyone has any good suggestions I am open to just about anything, as long as it's not too expensive!!

I am being treated very unfairly. Out of the 20 or so clerks in my department I am the only one who is watched like a hawk. I get a nasty e-mail if I'm not doing enough, and today I got a nasty e-mail b/c I was doing too much. Everyone else stands around and talks, or sits on the phone all day, but nothing is said to them because they’re all friends. The girls here are nasty and cruel and they want me to quit. I don't want to give them the satisfaction of quitting, but I cannot stand it anymore. I do need the money, it's pretty good, and I have a daughter to think about. Is it worth it to stay and do everything and get treated like crap? My assistant supervisor is part of that group of friends and my supervisor could care less what anyone does…. I would love some good advice.

If you had a choice between getting a college degree to have a great career and excellent pay afterwards or having a job making just as much money maybe even more without a B.S, Masters, Ph.d and so forth, which would you choose?

I'm considering moving about 4 hours away, and am a bit too busy to go and apply directly for jobs, there. I'm employed now, in retail, and would probably stay in that occupation.

I've applied on monster.com, put in a resume with a couple of companies for positions that I was definitely qualified for, but have heard nothing back--it's been a couple weeks. Is there an easier/most effective way of applying for jobs in areas that are in another state, than doing the monster.com thing? Any suggestions?

Can someone give me an idea of the job market in Fayetteville and the surrounding area? Any suggestions as far as retail jobs? I might be relocating to that area, and have applied to a couple places on Monster.com, but I don't think resumes on that site are reviewed all that often--at least not by some companies.

Ever lied about your work experience? For example, if you are a fresh graduate and have 0 years of formal work experience and most employers are looking for at least 2 years of work experience, would you "insert" a few years into your resume to land that job?

Some of my team members are struggling with meeting company metrics in performance. I work in a call center and we measure performance thru metrics (average handling time, talk time, and call work). I need to find some ways to inspire my employees to perform better. I also need ways to promote contests to build an awareness on teamwork. Once the performance has improved, I need to show ways to reward the agents. What do employees want as a reward(no monies), that would excite them enough to wanna peform better? If performance is not improved, the agents will be placed on disclipinary actions and this could hurt the efforts. I would like to avoid this if possible.

How do I explain to a employer that I have a degree that is not directly related to the job, but still has admirable qualities that can applied toward the company? I have a bachelor's of science in zoology and am applying for a billing specialist position. I don't plan on going on to graduate school. I thought that I wanted to pursue it but I found that the career opportunities for zoology are limited and that I wanted to pursue a job that would give me some job security. Any tips?

How Do I make my dad understand I want a career not just a job?
I am 24 years old. I have been doing seasonal work in Mallorca since I was 18. I was planning to go to Main Land Spain this Summer as I did not want to return to Mallorca. However my plans fell through. I have usually returned to a job in the winter after my stint in Mallorca. However this winter. I could not get my job back due to management changes and issues beyond my control so I signed on. As i was planning to go to Spain I worked a Part Time job in a cafe for 10 hours a week or so until the boss started to mess about and the hours and cr@p she dished out were not worth while.
When my plans of going to Spain did not work out I thought i would go spend the Summer in Skegness (I live in Bradford) with a friend. She was part way through moving house and things were going slow so I knocked that on the head.
Now I want a career not just a job. I want to get into Youth Work but it is a slow process how do I get my dad to understand. I don't feel I am wrong at wanting a good future.
