If you had a choice between getting a college degree to have a great career and excellent pay afterwards or having a job making just as much money maybe even more without a B.S, Masters, Ph.d and so forth, which would you choose?

I would pick the degree, no question. The four-year delay will not only give you a specialized education, but will also give you a socialization that can't be appreciated without the experience. Also, an immediate job might be tempting but where will it lead? When presented with openings for advancement, employers will always look to those with a higher education.

I would skip all the school and go right to the good paying job. My mom did it and she knows just as much as everyone else, since you would have to be pretty intelligent to do this in the first place. She's very happy and she didn't have to spend years in school learning a lot of stuff she already knows or could be taught easily.

I'd choose the education and career. High-paying jobs that do not require an education are few and far between.
